The Jim Kapp Memorial Scholarship is a way to carry on the legacy of the man who single handily did more to not only keep Telemark alive but growing in South Western PA and much of the East coast. His relentless enthusiasm and constant encouragement is the primary reason so many in our community enjoy the thrill of sliding down hills free from the encumbrances of locked-in heels. This scholarship aims to help bring more people to the sport and put them on a path through PSIA to make them better skiers and better teachers. This scholarship is available to ANY local PSIA member who takes any Telemark-related course, clinic, or program associated with PSIA. Kapper brought so many to the Tele Community, it’s our job to make sure it gets passed to the next generation!
